OKCLEAR · CAT ALLERGEN SCIENCE

Science that keeps closeness on the table

OKCLEAR Keep the cat. Reduce the allergens.

OKCLEAR is a cat-allergen management brand built around egg-yolk IgY. It starts at the source in cat saliva and pairs with coat and home care to help reduce everyday allergen load. OKCLEAR is not a medicine for treating human allergy.

UNDERSTANDING CAT ALLERGY

What people call a cat-hair allergy is really about protein allergens carried by coat and dander

Cat allergens are mainly proteins, not hair itself. The best-studied is Fel d 1, present in cat saliva and skin secretions. Grooming coats the fur with saliva; once dry, the particles can become airborne and settle on sofas, bedding, carpets and clothing.

Cleaning up hair alone therefore does not end exposure. What needs managing is the whole pathway from the mouth to the coat and into the home.

Why not target Fel d 1 alone?

Fel d 1 is the best-studied core component, but cat allergy is not decided by one component alone. Fel d 2, 4 and 7 also contribute to different molecular sensitization profiles. A multi-target approach does not mean every home must handle eight components at once; it means R&D should not reduce real exposure to a single marker.

Fel d 1–8 at a glance
Fel d 1SecretoglobinAssociated with salivary and sebaceous glands; the core component in cat allergy research
Fel d 2Serum albuminCarries cross-species cross-reactivity significance; an important complement in component diagnostics
Fel d 3CystatinA supplementary component in the cat allergen profile, reflecting individual sensitization differences
Fel d 4LipocalinMainly saliva-associated; can contribute to component sensitization in some people
Fel d 5Immunoglobulin-relatedBroadens cat allergen identification beyond a single Fel d 1 pathway
Fel d 6Immunoglobulin-relatedUsed to build a more complete multi-component research and testing framework
Fel d 7LipocalinRelated to part of the respiratory sensitization profile; a focus of the broad-spectrum strategy
Fel d 8Latherin-like proteinCompletes multi-target coverage of the Fel d allergen family

R&D PLATFORM

Zhejiang University pet-nutrition research background

Ragdoll observation conditions support in-vivo verification; core formulations and preparation processes are the subject of patent filings around Fel d1–8, covering broad-spectrum IgY antibody preparation, product formulations and application methods.

HOW IGY WORKS

From identification to neutralization, then whole-home management

IgY is an antibody found in egg yolk. Published in-vitro research shows anti-Fel d 1 IgY can bind the protein and reduce measured active Fel d 1. OKCLEAR places this mechanism into a daily route cats can accept long term.

To be clear: OKCLEAR does not treat human allergic disease and does not make a cat allergen-free. It addresses daily allergen-load management on the pet and home side.

SCIENCE, EXPLAINED SIMPLY

Starting from one cat hair: how allergens enter daily life

Cat hair is not the problem itself; it acts more like a carrier. These three steps show how it moves from the cat into shared spaces.

Frequently asked questions

Can the AmiFree series treat my cat allergy?

No. The AmiFree series is designed for managing allergen load from cats and the home environment. It is not a medicine for human allergic disease and does not replace medical evaluation or treatment. Decisions about human symptoms, medication or living arrangements should be made with a qualified clinician.

Does it make my cat hypoallergenic or allergen-free?

No. Cats still produce allergens. The goal is to help reduce exposure, not to eliminate it entirely. No product can make a cat allergen-free.

What is Fel d 1 and why is it the core target?

Fel d 1 is a well-studied cat allergen protein found in saliva and skin secretions. Grooming moves it onto the coat, and dander and dust can carry it around the home. Fur itself is usually not the allergen. Fel d 1 has been associated with up to 96% of sensitization to cats in the literature and is the best-studied core component.

Why egg-yolk IgY?

IgY is an egg-yolk antibody. Published laboratory studies show that anti-Fel d 1 IgY can bind the protein and reduce measured active Fel d 1. OKCLEAR uses this source-side approach; results from other tested products are not results for OKCLEAR.

Reference: Satyaraj et al., Journal of Immunology Research, 2021 ↗
How do I use the Cat Allergen-Reducing Powder?

Mix the powder into the cat's regular dry or wet food, following the dose on the purchased product's label and the cat's weight. Directions can differ by SKU and cat weight; follow the label.

How long before I should evaluate results?

Follow the specific product directions and the measured endpoint. Published studies of a particular anti-Fel d 1 IgY cat diet observed changes in active Fel d 1 after about three weeks of continued feeding; that timeline is not an OKCLEAR powder result or promise. Dietary, grooming and home-care endpoints differ.

Reference: Satyaraj et al., Immunity, Inflammation and Disease, 2019 ↗
Can it replace antihistamines or medical advice?

No. It is a pet- and home-side routine. Decisions about human symptoms, medication or living arrangements should be made with a qualified clinician. Seek urgent medical care for breathing difficulty, blue lips or face, severe wheezing, or rapidly worsening throat symptoms.

What does the "1 day" indicator mean?

Under defined product test conditions, target-allergen indicators changed in as little as one day. This is not a promise of human symptom relief in a day. The statement applies only to the powder + spray + shampoo combination test, not to individual products or human symptom improvement. Dietary, grooming and home-care endpoints differ.

  • Separate measurable indicator change from household experience: the latter is also shaped by exposure load, individual sensitivity and the home.
  • Published IgY-cat-food research observed significant active Fel d 1 reduction from week 3; it is a reference for sustained source management, not a universal timeline for every product.
Reference: Satyaraj et al., Immunity, Inflammation and Disease, 2019 ↗
Is it only Fel d 1, or Fel d 1–8?

Fel d 1 is one of the best-studied cat allergens and is associated mainly with saliva and sebaceous secretions. But cat allergy is not a one-component condition: Fel d 2, 4 and 7 can also contribute to different molecular sensitization profiles. OKCLEAR uses Fel d 1–8 as an R&D and testing framework so product design can consider multiple exposure pathways across the source, coat and home.

  • A multi-target approach does not mean every home must address eight components at once; it means R&D should not reduce real exposure to one marker.
  • For partners, it provides a more complete language for product development, testing and training.
Reference: Matricardi et al., World Allergy Organization Journal, 2016 ↗
Where does the research background come from?

The brand was started by a team with a Zhejiang University pet-nutrition research background. This statement describes the team research background; it does not mean OKCLEAR is an official Zhejiang University product, produced by Zhejiang University, or endorsed by Zhejiang University.

Which cats need a vet check before use?

Read the actual product label first. If your cat has special dietary requirements, a health condition or uses other supplements, consult a veterinarian. Directions can differ by SKU. Kittens, pregnant or nursing cats, and cats with chronic conditions should be evaluated by a vet before use.

Do you work with distributors and business partners?

Yes. OKCLEAR works with distributors, pet-health channels, specialty retail, e-commerce platforms, pet-food brands and research partners. We value partners who can review technical materials, communicate responsibly and support the channel over time.

  • For a first discussion, share your company website, current channels, SKUs of interest, estimated initial volume and review questions.
